Darran Lindsay

The 2 Stroke Racing Supporters Club would like to thank all those who attended our fundraising night in The Yacht Pub in Loughshinny in September. As a result of the generosity shown on the night, a total of €5,310 was raised and all proceeding went to Darran's wife Kerry Lindsay. The 2 Stroke Club and their supporters will miss Darran and the pleasure he always gave to his many fans racing both the Nibbles 125 and Roy Hanna's 250Hondas.

The 2 Stroke Racing Supporters 2009 Season.

The 2 Stroke Racing Supporters Club have established themselves as a vital component in their work supporting and promoting two stroke road racing at today's meeting. Both the 125cc and 250cc Classes are known as the breeding ground for up and coming riders, as well as being supported by the established stars in the only classes which feature pure road racing machines. The Supporters Club was formed in 2005 and last year sponsored the 250 Championship and our own 125 Championship. This year we again are running the 250 Championship with rounds at all races and have a separate championship for 125 riders with trophies and prize money awarded at our Post Season Awards night on the 7th of November in The Yacht Bar in Loughshinny. Again, the Club have had a truly great response from the riders, the promoting Clubs and all the genuine 'between the hedges' supporters and we would like to thank all those who have joined us as members – your support is very much appreciated. We aim to help the strokers again in 2009 but this will only happen with your valuable support as we cannot do it on our own, remember, its your championship as much as ours! Each year all our income goes straight back to the Riders and Clubs towards prize money and this year more than ever we’re relying on your support. Membership fees remain at Stg£10 or e15 for the year which include a Members Handbook and Stickers – keep an eye out for us around the paddock. Alternately you can send a PO/Cheque made out to ‘2 Stroke Racing Supporters Club’ along with your name and address to AJ Hughes, 6 St. Catherine’s Park, Rush, Co. Dublin. www.2strokeracingsupportersclub.com Many thanks to Irishracephotography.com, Alan Armstrong, Between-the-hedges.com and a special ‘Thanks’ to The Yacht Bar in Loughshinny for their continued support.
